AVIT is implementing an AI Robotics Innovation Hub as a national capability-building facility. Where E-Guard and API-PNR deploy technology, the Hub produces the people and the intellectual property behind it. Its purpose is to move Zambia from being a consumer of technological solutions to being a designer, manufacturer and exporter of them. WHAT THE HUB DELIVERS ▪ Applied research and prototyping in artificial intelligence, robotics, automated sensing and edge computing. ▪ Structured STEM and AI skills programmes for students, graduates and serving engineers, leading to recognised certification. ▪ Local assembly, integration and testing of sensing, security and control hardware. ▪ A pipeline of certified Zambian engineers to operate and sustain national systems without permanent foreign dependency. ▪ Incubation support for Zambian technology enterprises building on the Hub’s platforms and facilities
